7 Female leading artists united to support: Make a Wish Foundation & The Sumbandila Scholarship Trust

The COLLECTOR, Genève is a Swiss luxury handcrafted handbag designer that excels in producing small limited collections using only the highest quality skins and mixing special materials.

In 2015 the first edition of the BagART BigHEART charity event was done with SOTHEBY’S during Art Basel Miami, with 5 artists, John Armleder, Domingo Zapata, David Noonan, Bill Claps and Mariela Agois.

Each one painted and decorated a bag from THE COLLECTOR, Geneva. This first event raised more than USD 100,000 for Make a Wish Foundation.

The BagART BigHEART will be held on September 22, 2021 at the Safran Zunft special historical building in Basel. 7 female contemporary artists of high profile, diferent origin and style have accepted the challenge to make from a Bag an Art Piece : Joana Vasconcelos (PT), Monica Bonvicini (IT), Gadha Amer (EG), Nathalie du Pasquier (FR), Teresa Kutala Firmino (ZA), Ana Mazzei (BR) and Sylvie Fleury (CH).

The talented hairstyling and wig artist Pablo Kuemin will create 4 wigs matching the bags and a special one for the auction.

The bags will be shown by 2 models, one dancer (Sofia Loze) and a singer (Elisa Maffeni) with special wigs designed by the famous artist Pablo Kuemin.
